Colleagues,
It gives us great pleasure to renew our invitation to the 8th
International Congress of the Lebanese Society of Cardiology and Cardiac
Surgery (LSC & CS).
As you know, due to the unfortunate political
and military developments that started last July over Lebanon, the LSC & CS
has decided to postpone its 8th International Congress of Cardiology and
Cardiac Surgery from the 25th of October 2006 and reschedule it again from the
18th till the 21st of April 2007.
This congress is very important to
us; not just for the LSC but equally for the entire nation. It’s a unique
opportunity to prove once again our ability and willingness to remain on the
forefront of medical and scientific realm in the region.
We would like
to emphasize, that the success of this meeting can only be achieved with your
considerable collaboration as well as the support of our international network
of friends and eminent faculty. As a matter of fact, all the outstanding
efforts you have placed and the support you have given us in preparing for this
congress were highly appreciated. Those attempts have supported the
accreditation of our congress by 16 CME credits from the European Board for
Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC).
The highlight theme of this
year’s Congress will be the global overview in the management of the
cardiovascular disease patient, since managing the cardiovascular patient
necessitates more and more a team work involving the clinical cardiologist, the
cardiac imaging specialist, the interventional cardiologist and the
cardiovascular surgeon. The scientific program will also include 2 joint
sessions with the French Society of Cardiology and a Focus session on
interventional cardiology organized by the LCR group including an international
live cases transmission.
The LSC Congress is a high point of the LSC
calendar, not only does it provide high quality sessions and education, but it
is also a unique opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones. The
organizing committee will not withhold any effort that will make your welcome
and stay convivial, and will offer you a rich, enjoyable and exciting social
program in this splendid country in perpetual renaissance at the crossroad of
civilizations and cultures.
